COMMUNITY WEB SITES

ODLWEB co-sponsor community based web sites. If you have a community organisation that requires a web site ODLWEB can help by providing relief from costs. This allows groups that may not have had a web site before or those with smaller budgets to promote their community organisation on the Internet.

Printed media is once-of and cannot be updated till the next issue. Everything on the web can be updated quickly and efficiently. This can be of advantage when information is continually or regularly changing or being added. Users of the site are provided with the latest possible information.

No extra knowledge or equipment is required by your group to use this service. We maintain the site on your behalf. You will also have your own domain name where users will locate your site on the Internet.

We can even arrange Email addresses @yourdomain which can be forwarded to existing Email accounts. This way people who contact your organisation will always be writing to the same addresses no matter where your actual Email account is located (e.g. hotmail). HOW IS THE CO-SPONSORSHIP ARRANGED?

Community organisations are asked to contribute $40.00^ per term plus $40.00^ per year Domain Name Fees. Total contribution per year capped at $200.00*. ODLWEB provide all the services and time. There are currently no limitations on site size for community based organisations. Your first step is to enquire. We can go from there.

WHY CO-SPONSOR?

Sponsoring all local groups in total by ODLWEB would not be viable. So, with the co-sponsor plan we hoped to give all groups an opportunity to obtain some support and to do what they would like to do regarding web presence. At the same time not being cost prohibitive on us. This allows us to assist more local groups rather than a few total sponsorships.

WHAT WE GET OUT OF THE DEAL!

Co-sponsoring, designing and hosting community based sites not only assists the organisations concerned but helps us out by adding to our design portfolio and for training in site design techniques. Our staff can enhance their site design skills through community based projects. In fact we request that we become a volunteer of the organisation concerned.

Examples of Community Sites

These are examples of community based organisations using our co-sponsored services. They have quality sites for $50.00 per term and the sites are fully maintained by us.

INTEREST BY ORGANISATION MEMBERS

If groups have a member or members interested in the web site and wish to contribute to its operation we would be more than happy to assist with training. Some ideas for where members may wish to contribute...

  • Content Text
  • Photos and Images
  • Articles and News
  • Promoting the site

REVITALISE EXISTING SITES

We can even redesign, renew or update your existing site and manage it under this plan. Talk to us for details.
